On May 12th local martial arts students competed in a Tae Kwon Do
tournament in Louisville, KY that drew competitors from as far away as
Kansas City, MO. Each participant competed in both a forms division and
sparring tournament based on his/her respective age and rank. Out of 13
competitors, the school came home with 9 sparring trophies and 6 medals
for forms, each representing a top four finish.
The Tae Kwon Do program is located at Dance Discovery/Martinsville Academy
on the Martinsville town square; instruction is by
Mr. Brandon Sieg and
Mr. Brent Mundy of Gentry Martial Arts.
