Mr. Yoshida began his martial arts career in 1998, studying Tae Kwon Do while at DePauw University. Since then he has advanced through the ranks, and passed his forth degree black belt test in October of 2010 with the TTCA. He has also expanded his exposure to the martial arts by obtaining his third degree Black Belt in the art of Hapkido in June 2009 through the USHF, earning his blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in February 2008 through Caique Jiu Jitsu, becoming a certified coach for the FAST Defense program (Basics, Kids, Ground, and Multiple Assailants), starting his study of Tai Chi, and experimenting with other various styles (various Filipno styles, freestyle wrestling, etc.).

Mr. Yoshida has been involved with community service for the majority of his life. As an Eagle Scout ranked Boy Scout, Mr. Yoshida has been in a position to help teach, and guide kids in an effective, nurturing manner, giving them a positive environment in which to thrive. Later, at DePauw University, he was an active member of DePauw Community Service (DCS) volunteering his time to interact with kids, also giving them a positive role model. He believes strongly in giving back to the community that has given so much to him.

As an instructor with GMA, Mr. Yoshida's duties include providing GMA school and seminar instruction, providing GMA with technological and logistical support and continuing his study and development of martial arts to help enrich GMA programing.

Mr. Yoshida's formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Computer Science from DePauw University.
